Lockerz.com is a new website (launched in the summer of 2009) that is aimed at giving away free stuff!
I know, I know. Free stuff? It probably takes a year of your time to get anything worthwhile. Well, with Lockerz.com it takes only about a month of daily logins to get enough points to buy some really cool stuff.
You can get points by inviting people, answering a single daily question, or playing games! Once you invite 20 people, all your PTZ (the lockerz monetary unit) get doubled!!
I've been a member for about a month, trying to see if the website is a scam or not. Despite some serious programming bugs (I'm pretty sure the programmers are 10 years old), Lockerz seems legitimate. After inviting 20 of my friends, I got a cool t-shirt in the mail about a week later.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to redeem any "real" prizes yet. Last time prizes were available to redeem (October 15th), I was able to add the product to my shopping cart, but the website went down right as I was finalizing my order.
I. was. pissed.
But, I'm still going to try to gain as many PTZ as I can for the next redeem (I really want the Xbox 360 Pro). If they don't fix their problems by then, I'll give up. Most people would think that a website with millions of viewers should be able to hire a couple competent programmers, but it is what it is...I'm not gonna complain about getting free stuff.
