To get started just search for an artist of song, and it will show you a bunch of songs that match your search. The cool stuff starts happening when you click on the songs. For each song, there are 10 other songs that have similar styles.

That's identical to Pandora - and the Music Genome Project.
Actually both have their advantages and disadvantages. Grooveshark gives you 10 seperate recommendations on each song...Pandora gives you a linear playlist based on a single song or band. It's easier to "branch out" on Grooveshark.
Either way, there are over 25 other websites that do the same basic thing. All of them can be found in the link in the post labeled "list of free music websites"
we're definitely very similar to pandora, but on grooveshark you can create your own playlists and discover a lot of long-tail content like live music, covers, mashups, etc.
